After 9 months of waiting it has finally happened - the family has been extended by one.
My wife was amazing, 48hours of pre labour, followed by about 7 hours of the contractions at 10 minutes apart and then a race to the finish where we went from contractions 10 minutes apart to Usurper arriving on the scene. All done with no drugs. Mum did fine, dad however is suffering from a number of bruises and scratches from where he was ‘helping’ by holding her hand etc. Talk about being a useless appendage during a process. Now it’s time for a sleep!
