I dread those words, but I know they are coming.
They will come because my wife is terrified of clowns and therefore this fear will be passed on to our toddler and newborn at some stage.
Personally I don’t think clowns are scarey, nor do they amuse me. They are more like an old uncle who insists on telling knock knock jokes at Christmas time, they are more an object of pity that something to be afraid of. Not like that touching uncle………
In the meantime and before our kids develope a phobia I think I will take them to Clowntown - the Australian clown themed fun zone for the toddler set. My wife will despise it and that is funny - besides when that gets boring I can just spend my time playing “spot Shakes the clown” in my head.
It’s a sad life, but at least I can call it my own.
