Have you ever tried to peel skin of strawberries? I have just this very instant, and it is almost impossible to do.
Of course the main reason it is impossible to do is because strawberries don’t have any freaking skin! But just try telling that to a toddler. Little Miss was having none of this ‘But sweetie it doesn’t have any skin on it’ explanation. And she knew exactly what my weak point was this morning, she knew I was desperately trying to keep her out of our room so that Wife and Usurper could have a sleep in.
So in the end I attempted to peel strawberries. It was messy, it was a waste of time, it was an exercise in pointless futility and a clear demonstration of how a toddler will make you their slave once they work out how to push your buttons. But at least I kept the peace - for now.
