I knew it would come to an end one day, I just didn’t think it would make me sad when it did.
Tonight after 2 months of being on constant shower duty with our toddler Little Miss she declared that tonight she wanted to shower with her mother.
No more ‘Daddy, carry me in the shower with your boobies’. No more rushing home from work to make sure she has a shower in time to go to bed at a reasonable hour. Now my only duty during shower time is to look after Usurper - which basically means try not to drop her and settle her if she cries - babies just aren’t that interactive until they get a few months under their belts at least.
So despite all my complaining and moaning about never being allowed to shower in peace, tonight I really missed it.
I think as a sign of mourning I will ignore my nightly shower all together and just go to bed stinky!
