After two weeks at home I have headed back to the 13 hour day that is a standard absence on a work day for. I will also admit that I already miss being at home with Usurper and Little Miss all day.

Sure there were tears, tantrums, hissyfits, pouting, and general bad behaviour, during the two weeks, but this is to be expected when toddlers and babies are involved. So surely you can’t hold my behaviour against me.

Now it is time to going back to seeing the kids for and hour or so of an evening and then on weekends - such is life I guess for a lot of parents these days.

In the meantime I will just have to cherish the last couple of weeks and all the funny little experiences, the touching ones, and yes even the ones that left me pulling my hair out in frustration. Hopefully the memories won’t fade too quickly.

As for my first day back when the toddler Little Miss was informed when she awoke that daddy wasn’t at home because he was back at work I am reliably informed that her response was: “Why? Is daddy feeling sick?” - sometimes I wonder that myself sweetness
