Toddler party survived

The toddler party was not a disaster after all!
As much as it surprises me to admit it, the toddler’s little party went off without much of a hitch at all. There were no real meltdowns to speak of by anyone that was there - neither child nor adult. It even managed not to rain for […]

Toddler party time

While our toddlers birthday was the middle of the week, the party is actually today. So we have spent the last couple of days getting ready for the hordes of family and toddlers that will descend on the house today.
The entire house has been washed with the high pressure washer. The front and back verandas […]

Slave Daddy

It is a long weekend in the land down under - it’s apparently Australia Day - and to celebrate we have indulged in a great Australian tradition, a swing set in the backyard. The swings are for Little Miss for her third birthday, but they had to be put up this weekend for some reason, […]

Toddler social life

Our toddler Little Miss has a better social life than I do. I mean seriously she isn’t even three yet and every weekend she is off to one, if not two parties. On top of this there are various activities for throughout the week - it must be a pretty hectic and exciting lifestyle.

New Years Eve - party on toddler style!

Well what a wild New Years Eve I have just survived the highlights of which were:

Well what a wild New Years Eve I have just survived the highlights of which were:

Going to a NYE party that started before the sun went down.

Cleaning poo out of a potty in the back yard, in the dark, while trying to remain out of smell range of the rest of the party goers.

Trying to stop the toddler Little Miss from eating nothing but finger foods and cheese - I almost succeeded.

Watching 10 toddlers running around wearing various versions of glow stick jewelry

The crescendo of the ‘party’ being the waving of sparklers at 9:00pm

Arriving home from the party at 9:15pm

Falling asleep on the bed with the toddler at 9:30pm

Waking up again at 11:45pm just in time to take out the garbage bins and catching a glimpse of the fire works over the Sydney Harbour Bridge.

Being back in my own bed by 12:15am

I wonder what the cool kids got up to?
