Our toddler Little Miss has a better social life than I do. I mean seriously she isn’t even three yet and every weekend she is off to one, if not two parties. On top of this there are various activities for throughout the week - it must be a pretty hectic and exciting lifestyle.

Our toddler Little Miss has a better social life than I do. I mean seriously she isn’t even three yet and every weekend she is off to one, if not two parties. On top of this there are various activities for throughout the week - it must be a pretty hectic and exciting lifestyle.
It reminds me of a Paris Hilton lifestyle - all parties and play dates and every wish or demand being met, while being free of having to work or take responsibility for things. I guess the only real difference is it won’t be long before our kids realise that Daddy is too poor to support their every whim or desire for much longer.
So with the hectic social life of a toddler it is not suprising that we spent today at another toddler party. This one was pirate themed if you must know, and was a pretty decent affair.
The interesting thing is that Wife had an another appointment today - massage or facial or something girly - that had been put off numerous times and couldn’t be put off any further. So today for the first time I was allowed out with both Little Miss and Usurper in tow all by myself!
Now I will say that while a little daunted at the possibilities of all that could go wrong I was fairly relaxed about the whole thing. As for Wife she must have asked me 20 times if I was ok to do it.
It wasn’t until I got to the party and all Wife’s friends and other toddler mothers were amazed that I was there alone with the kids that I realised it was something special. At first I though it was that they were in awe of my parenting skills etc, that is until one of them of them confessed the shocking truth ….

It appears that the women folk don’t actually trust to look after the kids properly. This was not just one or two women who confessed this too me today, but pretty much everyone of them there!!
When I heard this my heart swelled a bit with pride because I naturally assumed that Wife thought I was such a wonderful parent that she trusted me more than these other women did their obviously incompetent partners. But my ego was quickly deflated when I discovered that Wife too didn’t have complete confidence in my ability to cope and had spent Thursday telling all her friends as much.
Well to prove them all wrong I came home with as many kids as I left with, with all their limbs intact and no real tears to speak of. So nerrrr to all you people out there who think Dad’s can’t look after their kids properly - we may do it a bit awkwardly at times, but we generally do ok - just don’t mention the cement mixer incident and all will be fine 
On a different know JLow over and Daddeeyah has just welcomed their second child into their family. Congratulations on joining the two kids no waiting club!!!
