A little while back Daddee Yah! tagged me with the following post: “So How Would You Change Your Lifestyle, People?” | Daddee Yah! and I thought now was as good a time as any to respond to the post - so here goes.
1. Get a lifestyle - I think that would be the […]
I came across this article by some fluke - which means it probably just popped into my RSS reader or something, and while I realised it was sad, it was also very true. It is an article about how men these days fear being around kids. Not because kids are scary and hard to deal with, […]
Read Sad but true »In the last couple of years since the birth of Little Miss I have seen more babies than I thought actually existed. The simple fact is that once you are a father everything you do is family orientated and therefore it involves babies.

Read Bad Daddy »In yet another episode that makes me question whether I am seriously cut out for the fatherhood gig that I have taken on someone has sent me a link to a website and as wrong as I know it is I just can’t take it seriously.
The website www.fatherhood.org is for an organisation that sets out to provide valuable training, information and other resources for fathers.
I know this is a worthwhile cause, I know this is a much needed resource and of great value in the community where so many men (myself included at times) struggle with what it means to be a father. But the more I read of it, the more I think of that Simpsons episode when Homer takes the test from the National Fatherhood Institute or whatever it is called - you know the one, when he and Bart end up building the boxcar together.
Actually if I was completely honest I would have to confess that I have received most of my parenting advice from Homer Simpson, Al Bundy and Hank Hill, hmmmm ………….. maybe I should give that website a second look after all.
