Toddler party time

While our toddlers birthday was the middle of the week, the party is actually today. So we have spent the last couple of days getting ready for the hordes of family and toddlers that will descend on the house today.
The entire house has been washed with the high pressure washer. The front and back verandas […]

Threenager

Little Miss the toddler today graduated from toddlerhood and became a fully fledged ‘threenager’ - that’s right she officially turned three.
We were awoken at 7:00am by a bang on the door and a declaration of, “It’s my birthday, I turned three”. Which was followed moments later by a knock at the spare room […]

Toddler social life

Our toddler Little Miss has a better social life than I do. I mean seriously she isn’t even three yet and every weekend she is off to one, if not two parties. On top of this there are various activities for throughout the week - it must be a pretty hectic and exciting lifestyle.

Well mission 2 for this Christmas season has been accomplished - the Christmas tree and associated decorations have been assembled.

We started last night with chief toddler Little Miss overseeing the project before quickly recognising that this was possible a bad idea. It turns out that toddlers, while naturally bossy, make for very bad bosses.

So the tree project was quickly abandoned once the tree was assembled and the first set of flashing lights had been set up. This was more than enough to satisfy a quickly tiring and increasingly bored toddler.

So there it sat, a half completed Christmas tree, like some bad sculpture sitting there as some bad social commentary on the commercialisation of the western world and religion in general.

After everyone went to bed it was left to me to finish putting up all the decorations - the tree, the flashing lights, the flashing santa for the window, the various hanging ornaments for around the place.

It took until 1:00am but it is now all done and ready for the waking in the morning of the heard.

Then it is off to the in-laws for a bbq lunch and the beginning of the round of Christmas related functions, things like
office christmas parties, friends parties, family gatherings etc. Only 24 days to go!
